Little Closer to the grandmother?

POSTED BY Unknown on Friday, October 29, 2010

Working parents will feel calmer if left to the baby's grandmother or grandfather. This is also the most feasible solution if there is no caregiver at home. However, the impact of that arise later, the children become closer to his grandmother, even inseparable.
Child psychologist from the School of My Steps, Wanda Anastasya, MPsi, said that parents need to help children make adjustments if the problem occurs.
"Do the negotiations with the child so that he did not always want to be with his grandmother. Give them praise when children do something good. Parents should also keep the emotion, do not scold the child," he said during the event held Daycare 2010 Talkshow Unilever Indonesia in Jakarta some time ago.
Children are more intimate with the grandmother or grandfather due to a lack of time with both parents. However, do not necessarily feel guilty because you and your husband work.
Wanda said, working parents can still build a closeness with the child even though time is short. One effective way is to use the time before leaving for work.
"Before working, doing activities together, such as feeding, bathing, or taking the kids to school. On the sidelines of a job, get up communication with the child, simply call asking child's activity. Go home work, a time to enjoy time together with children," he explained.
Parents also need to find the right time to leave the boy temporarily. Generally, said Wanda, two-year-olds who already know their peers are mentally prepared to be abandoned temporarily. They also have to understand the language of communication. The more frequent communication, the bond between parent and child more awake, even though children often spend more time with his grandmother or grandfather.
You would feel happy if you come home with gaiety welcomed so children who miss your presence, is not it?
